  • How to Get There:

    • Many participants are likely already familiar with Pasadena and the Caltech campus. For those of you new to visiting Southern California, and Pasadena specifically, the main airports at which to arrive are Los Angeles International (LAX) and the Hollywood Burbank (BUR) Airports. These are 28 and 16 miles from Pasadena, respectively. Flights are also possible to Ontario International Airport (ONT), however, that is farther away (37 miles). Rental cars, taxis, shared-ride vans, and ride-share services (Uber, Lyft) are available at these airports upon arrival. A taxi from LAX to Pasadena is estimated to cost about $80-$100; typical cost ranges for Uber are $80-90.

    • If you are driving to the Caltech campus, details regarding visitor parking can be found here. If you are driving an EV or hybrid, there are (free!) charging stations in both the North Wilson and California Structures. However, you need to have an app on your phone to interact with the stations, which can be downloaded from here (or the Apple or Android stores).
